"Knock Out Parkinson Jazz and Blues Festival," the third annual benefit for the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center in Phoenix, is an event sponsored by the Parkinson Network of Arizona.
Ravenscroft Pianos of Scottsdale will donate proceeds to the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center from the sale of a German contemporary Limited Edition Peter Maly "Rondo" piano during a silent auction held within the benefit.
This charity event will be hosted at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort on November 1st 2009, admission is $75 per person.
Tickets are available by calling 480-595-6890 or by visiting: Parkinson Network of Arizona
The event features performances all day starting at 11AM to 4PM including artists: Joe Garcia and Friends, Nuance Music with Devon Bridgewater and Friends, the Vicki McDermitt Quartet, Inner Journeys featuring Bob Ravenscroft, and jazz experience Dennis Rowland.
Fans who appreciate truly superb pianos will also be intrigued to hear a custom handcrafted piano — the Ravenscroft — designed and built by Scottsdale based Spreeman Piano Innovations, LLC.
Inspired by the man whose trio was named the Republic’s 2005 Jazz Group of the Year, the Ravenscroft is a dream project for master piano craftsman Michael Spreeman.

The piano being auctioned was created for today’s "living concepts," an idea conveyed by internationally recognized designer for interiors, Peter Maly.
Maly´s understanding of design is marked by original forms combined with the utmost functionality as well as perfection in manufacturing.
Many of his designs are already recognized as modern classics.
The Rondo is one of seven limited edition pianos designed by Peter Maly for Sauter Pianofortemanufaktur of Germany.
Each is unique.
Elegant and softly shaped, the Rondo is a piano that performs with the principle of round shapes.
It appears natural, soft and well balanced within itself.
Like a piece of music that surrounds an inspiration.
Detail and quality can be found within the piano.
The hinges are finished in polished chrome, which contrast well in texture and color to the ebony sharp keys.
The case is finished in a classic piano black high gloss.
Inside, the sounding board is solely made from the finest spruce from the ‘Val di Fiemme’ in the high region of South Tyrol, Italy.
The cast plate is hand-ground and draped with a precious finish.
The mechanics inside utilize a patented Sauter R2 Double Repetition Action.
Experienced pianists and piano enthusiasts will be thrilled by the touch and appearance of this designer piano.
